About Us

Diss High School

Diss High is a friendly and popular school set on an attractive site at the north-eastern edge of the town. We are a “standalone” academy, with an excellent record of both academic and sporting achievement. Our examination results are consistently above the county and national average and each year the majority of Sixth Form students take up places at university.

We aim to offer as broad and diverse a curriculum as possible, including vocational subjects such as Construction and Travel and Tourism, as well as Art, Design Technology, Music and Drama. Our facilities include a good library and resource centre, 2 drama studios, 2 music suites (with a state-of-the-art recording studio), three art studios, four workshops, eight laboratories, two cookery rooms, six computer rooms and a media editing suite.

Sixth form  students also have a tutorial and social base, along with some teaching accommodation, in "Uplands House" - a large adapted Victorian House on the same site with its own Sixth Form Bistro.
