Diss High is a friendly and popular school set on an attractive site at the north-eastern edge of the town. We have an excellent record of both academic and sporting achievement, and our examination results are consistently above the county and national average. Each year the majority of Sixth Form students take up places at university.
On 1st August this year Diss High School converted to an academy; we have kept our name and we very much look forward to the freedoms this new status will bring.
Since September 2005, the school has been designated a Specialist Humanities College with English as the lead subject, and Citizenship and Classics in support. Our facilities include a good library and resource centre, drama studio, music suite, three art studios, four workshops, eight laboratories, three home economics rooms, five computer rooms and a media suite.
Sixth Form students also have a tutorial and social base, along with some teaching accommodation, in "Uplands House" - a large adapted Victorian House on the same site.
