Key Stage 4

All of our students follow the AQA 9-1 Science specifications at GCSE.

Year 9

All Year 9 students follow the same course of study covering topics from the AQA Combined Science Trilogy specification.

Year 10 and 11

In Year 10 students either follow the AQA Combined Science Trilogy Specification to obtain 2 GCSE grades at the end of Year 11.

Selected students will follow the Separate Sciences and obtain individual GCSE grades for Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

Practical work – This forms an integral part of the GCSE course and students will experience all of the required practicals on the appropriate GCSE course. In addition to this they will complete practical work that supports their learning at appropriate times in the course.
